Individuals are eligible for admission to St. Ambrose University as a first-year if they meet the following requirements: Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) from an accredited high school AND EITHER Have a composite score of 20 or above on the American College Testing Program (ACT) or a 950 or above on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Board. Students who graduated from high school five or more years ago do not need to supply ACT or SAT scores. OR Have an ACT composite score of 18 or 19 (or an SAT score between 870 and 950) AND graduate in the upper half of their senior class. Students who are ineligible for full admission because they do not meet the above standards may be admitted on a provisional basis. The academic progress of provisional students is monitored each semester by the Board of Studies. Applicants who don’t meet the minimum criteria for either category above may petition the Admissions Standards Committee.
